What's different about landed smart homes

🏠

Multi-floor coverage

Most landed homes have 2 to 4 floors. We design the wireless mesh so every device — top floor to basement — has a stable signal. Strong, full-coverage WiFi is the foundation of any landed smart home.

🚪

Gate & outdoor systems

Smart gate controllers, intercoms, outdoor cameras and driveway lighting. Unlike condos, you own the entire perimeter — and the smart home can extend to the garage and driveway.

📹

CCTV is essential

Landed homes benefit most from professional CCTV systems — multi-camera coverage of gate, driveway, perimeter and back yard. We supply IP cameras with smart detection that integrate with your phone and smart home hub, and arrange professional installation.

🪟

Motorised curtains & blinds

Motorised curtains and blinds across living areas, master and key rooms. Open and close them by schedule, by voice or as part of scenes — no reaching for tall or hard-to-access windows.

🌡️

Aircon zoning

Larger landed homes typically run multiple aircon systems across floors. We integrate them into a single smart layer so you can control everything by zone — bedrooms, common areas, basement entertainment room.

🔧

Renovation friendly

If your landed property is being renovated, we work with your ID and contractor to plan switch placement, cable runs and Wi-Fi access point locations from day one — much cleaner than retrofitting after.

Typical landed property smart home scope

No two landed homes are identical. A typical whole-house smart home for a 2-storey terrace might include:

  • → Lighting: 20–40 smart switches across both floors
  • → Networking: Mesh WiFi with 3–5 access points for full coverage
  • → Security: 6–10 CCTV cameras (gate, driveway, perimeter, rear)
  • → Access: Smart gate controller, video intercom, smart main door lock
  • → Climate: Smart aircon control across all units, ceiling fan integration
  • → Curtains: Motorised curtains in living, master and key rooms
  • → Hub: Central control with HomeKit, Google Home and Alexa

For bungalows or larger semi-detached homes, scope expands to include basement entertainment systems, pool and pump integration, and dedicated server-rack networking. WhatsApp us your floor plan for a tailored quote.

Why choose us for landed homes

Single point of contact

Lighting, networking, CCTV and locks — all under one project with one team. No coordinating between three different contractors for a setup that needs to work together.

Works with your ID/contractor

If your home is being renovated, we coordinate with your interior designer and main contractor so cable runs, switch placements and access points are planned cleanly into the design.

Ongoing support

Large setups need long-term support. We're WhatsApp-reachable, document your configuration, and can come back for additions, troubleshooting or system upgrades as your needs evolve.

Landed property smart home FAQ

How long does a landed property installation take?

A whole-house smart home for a 2-storey terrace typically takes 2 to 4 days, depending on scope. Mesh WiFi installation is usually 1 day, CCTV is 1 to 2 days, and smart switches plus curtain motors are 1 to 2 days. For bungalows or larger setups with extensive outdoor work, project timelines can extend to 1 to 2 weeks.

When is the best time to plan a landed smart home — during renovation or after?

During renovation is significantly better. We can plan cable runs (especially for hardwired CCTV and WiFi access points), switch placements and outdoor power outlets directly with your ID and contractor. Retrofitting after renovation is possible but limits options — surface-mounted cabling, fewer hardwired devices, and more reliance on wireless. Get us in at the design phase if you can.

Can you handle the entire smart home or just specific parts?

Both. Some clients engage us for the full house — lighting, networking, CCTV, locks, gates. Others bring us in for just one part, like mesh WiFi or CCTV. We're transparent about what our installation partners handle directly versus specialist work referred out (e.g. specialist audio/visual or pool integration).

Will the system work if internet goes down?

Yes — for the most part. We use hubs and protocols that support local control, so lights, switches, sensors and automations continue working even without internet. What requires internet: remote access from outside the home, voice assistants (HomeKit/Google/Alexa), and cloud-based features like CCTV cloud storage.

Can you integrate my existing devices?

Often yes. If you already have a smart lock, video doorbell or CCTV system, we can usually integrate them into your new hub if they support HomeKit, Google Home, Alexa or Matter. We'll check compatibility upfront before quoting so you don't end up with two separate apps.

How much does a landed smart home cost?

It varies significantly by scope. A 2-storey terrace with basic smart lighting, mesh WiFi and CCTV is much cheaper than a bungalow with whole-house automation, pool integration and a full security system. The biggest cost drivers are CCTV (cameras + NVR), mesh networking (number of access points) and motorised curtains (per window). WhatsApp us your floor plan and we'll itemise the quote.

Do you offer warranty and aftercare?

Yes. All devices come with manufacturer warranty plus our installation workmanship guarantee. For landed clients we also document the entire system setup (device list, network diagram, automation logic) so future support — whether by us or anyone else — is straightforward.
